Iceland

Iceland, a Nordic island nation, is defined by its dramatic landscape with volcanoes, geysers, hot springs and lava fields. Massive glaciers are protected in Vatnajökull and Snæfellsjökull national parks. Most of the population lives in the capital, Reykjavik, which runs on geothermal power and is home to the National and Saga museums, tracing Iceland’s Viking history.

Provence

Its identity as a geographical region is a hold over from the days of the Roman Empire. Its western border is the Rhone River and its eastern border is Italy. The Provence includes the French Riviera and is famous for its sunny weather, colourful countryside, tradition, wine, food, and language

Salt Spring Island

Salt Spring Island is one of the Gulf Islands in the Strait of Georgia between mainland British Columbia, Canada and Vancouver Island.

Still Life

These are images I have created in the studio using various objects and props to produce a pleasing artistic image.

Street Photography

Street photography, also sometimes called candid photography, is photography conducted for art or inquiry that features unmediated chance encounters and random incidents within public places. Although there is a difference between street and candid photography, it is usually subtle with most street photography being candid in nature and some candid photography being classifiable as street photography. Street photography does not necessitate the presence of a street or even the urban environment. Though people usually feature directly, street photography might be absent of people and can be of an object or environment where the image projects a decidedly human character in facsimile or aesthetic.

The Dordogne, France

Virtually the whole area is attractive hill country, full of old villages, castles, small country towns and plenty of scope for relaxing and enjoyable holidays. While the department of the Dordogne itself is increasingly geared to tourism, much of the area, particularly further into the hills, is very much "off the beaten track", and just waiting to be discovered.

The Palouse

The Palouse is a region of the northwestern United States, encompassing parts of southeastern Washington, north central Idaho and, in some definitions, parts of northeast Oregon. It's a major agricultural area, primarily producing wheat and legumes.

The Palouse is a beautiful and exiting area to photograph!

If you plan to photograph in this area I would highly recommend acquiring the services of a guide. I can highly recommend Teri-Lou Dantzer. She not only knows the area extremely well and the people who live there but she is also an excellent photographer in her own right. You can check out Teri Lou at www.palousephotographytours.com.
